My Life, My Story

What grinds my gears the most is people projecting their fears onto someone else—the audacity of people! Well I had the audacity to not be bogged down by MY 9-5. This MY story.

We are taught to go to school. Get a job. Stay there for 30, 40, years then retire to live. Well I decided nearing my almost ten year run that, that routine life for ME wasn’t enough. I was unhappy, disgruntled, and had the worse attitude.

That may surprise a few people and especially if you didn’t know me then. I’m not here to push entrepreneurship on to anyone. It’s both hard and stressful, BUT for ME it has been well worthwhile. I’m here to tell you to believe in yourself and go after whatever it is with all you have.

I’ve done it working a full time job, going to school full time, and interning for someone at the same time. So save the excuses. You are the only one stopping you. You’ll either find an excuse or find a away.

I’m coming up on my “quit anniversary” and I couldn’t be more excited. For a year I’ve been able to keep my bi weekly check, medical insurance, and I’m happy! The decision for ME to walk away wasn’t an easy one. Believe me I did have doubts and I did it right before the world shut down, ironically. The shut down for me was a blessing. It sat my busy butt down and gave me time to rest! I also learned how to make money from my sofa! I mean just look at all that I accomplished in 2020 -LA Weddings & Interior in Pandemic Mode MY year was pretty amazing and this couldn’t have happened while still working MY 9-5 job. I’ve traveled more, I’ve done both events and interior design projects outside of Texas and this is just the beginning!

Lastly, I prayed for the life I’m living. While praying I also worked for it. If not anyone else I’m proud of myself. I remember the days crying in the parking lot and praying there has to be more to MY life. I’m here to do great things. Jeremiah 29:11 states for I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans of hope and a future! I’m living that! I’m working each day for that!
