Whether you have a teeny tiny space or a grand wall, consider installing panels and painting them in a dark hue to yield a sense of happy order. Plus, you can install your panels in different shapes and directions for a custom look that won't overwhelm.
A unique way to change up the living room is to turn your fireplace into a stunning statement piece. Adding a floral touch the way LA Designer Affair did here creates a playful and stunning centerpiece that transforms the whole space.
The use of lines to draw the eyes around a room is a classic designer trick, but it's especially prevalent in this space by LA Designer Affair. Rather than the large beams used in farmhouse looks, this modern kitchen uses thin wood slats that lengthen the ceiling and continue down the wall. Matched to the same color as the wood, a unique chandelier serves as a focal point between the dining area and kitchen.
In this living area, the main room is open to the staircase which ties together gray accents from the rug to the stairs. Lauren Ashley of LA Designer Affair opted for natural fur-inspired materials on the runner for a unique, eclectic look that complements the room's elegant design.

If you've ever tuned into HGTV, you know this design style well. Modern farmhouse is all over design shows, and for good reason: this design style is relaxed, warm, and inviting. "Farmhouse style brings natural surroundings in, uses handcrafted materials and artisan and utilitarian pieces," according to Lea Johnson of Creekwoodhill.
In a few words, how would you describe your interior design style?
We would describe our interior design style as modern sophistication, but with pops of color! This particular client wanted modern and traditional. It was a perfect project for us to stretch our design skills.

It wouldn’t be what it is today without all of the assistance I get from Johnathan of Smart Smile Training Center and Co-Owner of Sno Monster. He has helped me structure my business and stay disciplined on the things that I don’t really care for, but without it there would not be LAWI. There are varying levels of industry but, no matter what level you may be on, you have to continue your education.
