ASID 2022 Show House

I selected the laundry room because I wanted to linger on the people’s mind. “If she could do this to a laundry room what could she do with a bigger space” — of course with the right budget *Wink.

I coined it “Laundry Room Like No Other.” What I noticed as people toured the home is that they looked for this space. It is a very important space in the home if you ask me and should be well designed like the rest of the home. No room is too small.

To complete this one of a kind laundry room I needed the help of trusted vendors and sponsors. They helped bring my vision to life and I can’t thank them enough. Now let’s get into the details of all these folks. First, THE Runner Rug from Art & Loom. I’ve been obsessed with them since another designer reposted them on IG. Their rugs are simply amazing from the design to the quality. I was so glad when they agreed to be apart of “The Laundry Room Like No Other”! Visitors loved the rug for its unique shape as well as the complimenting color selection. It also made people think about a rug in the laundry —why not?

Next, we have Accent Touch for the African JuJu Hats. Art with a bold statement. Would you believe the owner, Isabelle, was so gracious to respond to my email on Thanksgiving Day? Beyond grateful she met me the following day! It’s in these moments I know this is exactly what I should be doing.

Let’s just say I love Accent Decor and love how their products are interchangeable in my event and interior design world. We used their terrariums for detergent and dryer wool balls displays.

No space should be left out of fresh flowers. Blooms.Inc never misses and with accent decor’s “Moreno” vase—just BEAUTIFUL and the perfect statement piece.

Lastly, but certainly not least. Our light fixture came from Hudson Valley. Our Representative LaSondra, always takes cares of us. It was just enough razzle-dazzle to keep people thinking, “This for a laundry room?!”

Sugar Creek Homes — thank you for this opportunity and dealing with 14+ women! I can only imagine the amount of additional work this added.

Professional Wallpaper - I can’t thank him enough! He’s one of two contractors who have been with me from the very beginning. I was so glad to see him doing multiple rooms in the show house and its great to see our growth. If you all are in need of an installer I highly recommend him.

To all the visitors thank you for your support. Now send me the fun clients! Those who aren’t afraid of color, texture, and pushing the envelope.

For those who are new around here — UPS sent my original hardware back! They marked the Show House as “Vacant” and sent the package back. Y’all I was livid beyond measure!!! Most of my items were shipped directly to the home with no problem and I couldn’t believe this ONE package was sent back. BUT again I was shown grace and reminded His plans are better than my own. Rejuvenation saved the day with an even better selection. The ladies at the Houston Post Oak Location are ALWAYS so helpful.

Thankfully K & N Sales was on board with upgrading the washer and dryer to front loaders vs. top loaders. Front loaders make a statement alone, but as shown on the mood board I knew the Champagne color would have really blown people’s mine. Fun clients where are you—Lets design together!
