Spring HPMKT 2022 owes me NOTHING! Getting right to it—TOV introduced ‘The Voice Collection’ that highlights 6 black Interior designers and some heavy hitters, if I might say so myself.

I couldn’t leave that night without congratulating each designer for this major opportunity! Check out the gallery below and my favorite piece from each of their collection.
This collection after seeing it in person all represents each designers Voice and their unique design styles. Beautifully crafted and a job well done. But TOV didn’t stop there! They threw the best launch party that I’ve seen in a longggg time! To top it off they enlisted a Black Event Planner, Jeanette of J.L. Evans When I met her and she told me she was doing the party, I almost passed out! TOV UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT! From the DJ to the bartenders! I’m getting chills just writing about it. They didn’t just stop at the Designers! The inclusivity was divine!
I also had to thank the owners, Chaya & Bruce Krinsky. For them to embark on this journey I’m sure it wasn’t a easy one, but I’m happy they decided all while while staying true to their slogan! “Don’t be boring!”
The collection, the party, and us all partying together made me shed some tears. I was on cloud 9 for the rest of market. I couldn’t believe it! I was so happy to have witnessed it for myself. Y’all just don’t understand how monumental this is for the black designer community. When one of us wins WE all win! They are proof to continue pushing. They are proof anything in design is possible. This market gave me hope into what is to come! These trips not only give me inspiration, but are like revival sessions. We get to share stores with other designers to confirm we aren’t crazy and to hear each other’s solutions to similar problems. If you’re a designer reading this and haven’t experienced #HPMKT for yourself let me tell you wait no longer and book for Fall! Make the investment EVEN if you feel you aren’t ready. My first few markets I had no clients, but look at me now. PREPARE for what’s to come and also check out my ebook to help you break it down.
Before I go because I can keep talking about all the great things that happened this past market. I can’t forget Cheryl Luckett! She too had her launch party for her furniture collection with Wildwood Furniture! They too had an awesome party! Again, when one of us wins WE all win!
