I Dare to Want More!

In this journey of self-discovery. I feel like this weekend a new level of Lauren was released. Allowing myself to say out loud the things I want, but also allowing myself to look back at the breadcrumbs little Lauren left for me.

Below this breadcrumb is my schedule for Girls Scout Camp. No, I wasn’t a Girls Scout, but I always wanted to attend overnight camp since the 5th grade. The original lady of experiences, my mother, made it happen this particular summer. While I was away I did get homesick, but I negotiated that if they allowed me to do arts & crafts all day I would stay. This included me missing the pool ;) I thought and felt that I was bossy, but recently, I gained the perspective that even at a young age I knew what I needed to be okay.

This past week has been full of a lot of emotions and memories. It started Tuesday with a presentation of ME with a new organization I’m a part of. I shared the image below of my Mom and me and it was good to talk out loud about her and how she truly did her job in raising me. Grief doesn’t come with a manual and at different stages in my life, I’m able to get a little more peace around her not being her.

Let's take a peek into some of the highlights of our recent activities:

Networking Mixer: We ended the week with a fabulous networking mixer that garnered tremendous enthusiasm! We're thrilled to have had the generous support of our sponsors, Pur Noire and Saleenart Art, who contributed to making the event truly AMAZING. Check them out and thank me later!

📸Stay Updated on Instagram: For an in-depth look at the event and all the exciting details, be sure to follow us on Instagram (@LaurenAshleyExperiences) and check out the reel that will be released later today. Don't miss out on the visuals that captured the essence of the evening.

It was an absolute delight as I had the privilege of spending quality time with the remarkable women who help shape the essence of LAE. It's moments like these, away from the office, that remind us of the importance of connection and shared experiences. From this event led to a great weekend at not one, but THREE art galleries in the city of Houston.

I had the privilege to meet Janice Bond. She took us on an experience that filled my heart and honestly answered some unsaid questions. We saw Ming Smith's Felling the Future exhibit at the Contemporary Arts Museum. I would leave the information for you all to view, but October 1 was its last day in Houston.

As I reflect on my journey, I want to leave you all with this thought: Take the time to rediscover. Art has a unique way of helping us reconnect with ourselves and the world around us. I hope that sharing my personal experiences, it can inspire someone else to embark on their own journey of self-discovery in whatever form.
